First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sapphire Technologies.
Software Development Engineer
It was a good learning experience overall. Some questions were challenging, but I appreciated the chance to think critically and explain my approach. The interviewers were professional, and I got helpful feedback.
- Can you solve basic SQL queries and pattern problems?
Senior Javascript Developer
So the first thing was like a resume screening, the hiring manager just looked over my resume. Then there was a second round that had an aptitude test, then a technical interview, and then the HR round. The technical part focused on Javascript and its associated libraries.
- Which Javascript frameworks have you used?
- Can you discuss the projects listed on your resume?
- What's your experience with SQL?
Technical Recruiter
Sapphire has a lengthy hiring process, and you'll meet with multiple people. First, either through a referral or applying on their web site, the manager doing the hiring will interview you on the phone. Then you'll get to meet the manager in person, followed by shorter interviews with members of the team you'll work with. I met with a recruiting lead and another senior member of the team.
- How many years of experience do you have in sales?
- Have you sold in a business-to-business setting before?
- What's the difference between selling a product versus a service, in your view?
Technical Writer
I got a phone call about a potential job. Then they emailed me for more info and my resume. After that, I had an in-person interview at their office. I brought my resume and stuff, and they asked me why I left my last job and some other behavior-based questions. They then asked me to send a synopsis of myself and a third-person cover letter. They didn't give me more info after I told them my salary expectations and how far I live from the office.
- Are you presently employed, and if so, for how long, and what was your salary range?
- Could you explain why you left your previous job and the circumstances surrounding your departure?
