First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sandvik Coromant.
HVAC Engineer
I went through two interviews. The first was a 30-minute intro with the manager about my CV and education. The second was two weeks later with the manager and senior staff, where they asked about my personality and work handling.
- What are your expectations from a manager?
- How do you cope with stress while working or studying?
Engineering Intern
It was an easy interview, like a relaxed chat. The questions were straightforward and the vibe was comfortable. The interviewer was nice and asked predictable questions, letting me speak freely without pressure. It helped me give honest and detailed answers, making communication smooth.
- Tell me about a time you took a leadership role.
Customer Success Manager
Got reached out to by a headhunter, who then passed me to a recruiter. The whole thing was: 1. Two quick calls with the hiring manager to go over the job. 2. A 1-hour chat with the hiring manager and recruiter about my background and personality. 3. Another 1-hour interview with the hiring manager's boss. 4. A casual talk with some team members about how they work and what impact they have. It was all pretty chill with the people I talked to, but man, it took FOREVER, like 7 weeks. Then I was left hanging for the final decision, which ended up being a no. This company seems to move at a snail's pace and talks a big game about flexibility but doesn't seem to practice it much.
- Tell me about your interest in this position.
- In group settings, what role do you usually take?
- Can you detail your previous experience?
Procurement Specialist
The interview process included four interviews with HR/recruiter, the hiring manager, a more senior person (grandparent level), and peers. There were also reading comprehension, quantitative, and personality tests involved. The format was a mix of digital and in-person. It wasn't a super quick process, but the atmosphere was nice and the people were professional.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What have you accomplished?
- What are your goals for the future?
