Had three virtual interviews where I mostly answered behavioral questions with the team. After that, there was a take-home assessment, and the final stage was an in-office half-day where I presented my project to the team and other managers.

The process itself wasn't too bad, but their communication was really lacking. I was left ghosted after my initial round and didn't get any response when I followed up via email. I suspect they might have already had someone in mind for the role before even posting the opening.

I started with a screen call with talent management. Then I had separate calls with two team members. All of them were behavioral and skills-based, and conversational. After that, I did a short Excel exercise, which wasn't too hard. Unfortunately, I got rejected after that. They said a manager interview and a super-day would have come next. The interviews themselves were fine, but the whole process took way too long.

There was one phone interview, and then four in-person interviews. Everyone I met was really nice and seemed genuinely curious about my background and what I could bring to the table. The whole hiring process felt really smooth, and I was treated with respect and professionalism throughout. It was impressive to hear back within just two business days after the interview – seems quite rare these days! In all four of those in-office interviews, the questions were straightforward, nothing unexpected or out of left field, which was a welcome change. Sands Capital really seems to know how to find good people and treat them right during the process.
