It was a phone pre-screening interview that had 3 parts: your intro (5 min), general and specific questions about your past experience including problem solving (20 min), and info about the job and your questions (5 min). The whole call was about 60 min. The interview was with a potential supervisor and it wasn't very professional.

I had two interviews. HR took more than 2 months to respond. The first phone call with HR lasted about an hour and went very well. My interviewers were nice, but there wasn't enough time to assess technical expertise. The questions were answered very technically, and my English was very competent. Unfortunately, the whole process took over 3 months! And the rejection from HR was quite unclear about the reasons! When you have over 10 years of expertise in the same field, what could be better? The salary was very low, around 48k annual salary.

Had an initial phone chat to confirm my skills, education, and what salary I was looking for. Then met with someone from HR and a few managers. It was pretty straightforward. I was a bit surprised they asked actual science questions though.
