VP of Operations
My interview experience was smooth and professional. The interviewers were friendly and approachable. The first interview was with HR over Zoom and focused on my background, skills, and cultural fit. It lasted about 30 minutes. The second interview was a technical discussion to assess my skills and problem-solving abilities and lasted about an hour.

Communications Program Manager
The hiring manager reached out to set up an interview, but then after I replied, they took several days to respond. I had to send another email to make sure they got my first one. They eventually set a date and time. The interviewer was late for the interview. I was told I would hear back early the next week, but it's now been three weeks with no word. I'm disappointed because I think it's important to let candidates know the outcome, especially since I took time off work to prepare and do the hour-long interview, even if they didn't want to move forward with me.

Product Manager
So, I joined through an acquisition and was initially told my job was safe, but then they downsized by two-thirds without any warning. The interview process is a bit misleading; they sell you this great vision of the company, its resources, and future direction, saying you'll be key in strategy. In reality, strategy is top-down (C-suite and SVPs), and managers, directors, and even standard VPs don't really have a say. Also, the resource claims are bogus – there's never been enough staff like programmers, QA, training, or support to actually get the work done.
- Can you share some insights about the company you're currently working for?
- What's your take on our competitors?
- Tell me about your current company, its strengths, and what you think about its direction and resources.
Communications Manager
HR reached out to me in mid-November 2022 for an interview with who I think would be my direct boss, the VP. She was super nice and asked me about my past experiences, not like a typical interview. I heard back within a week to set up my next interview for the end of November with someone higher up, the CCO. She asked me some tough questions from a list, but was also friendly. After that, I didn't hear anything until January, when they asked if I could do a third interview with someone on the team. I gave them my availability, but it took another two weeks to hear that I didn't get the job.
- Can you tell me more about your experience and how it relates to this job?
- Please elaborate on your resume experience and how it applies to the role.
