I haven't interviewed yet, but I hope my preparation is enough to get through their qualifications. I'm a marketing graduate and have prior work experience, so this type of environment shouldn't be too difficult for me.
- What makes you the right candidate for this position?
Instructional Assistant
It was an on-site job fair hiring event at a school. We got blank applications and had to do an online test beforehand (you could also do it on your phone in line if you didn't know about it). We lined up, handed in our resumes/applications, and then were called into a room for an interview with two people who had a list of questions. I got offered the job that day and had a few days to decide.
- What experience do you have working with developmentally disabled individuals?
Machine Operator
Had 2 interviews, one with the area manager and another with HR. There was a psychometric test and a theoretical-practical exam. Each interview lasted about 30 minutes. They reviewed my CV, we chatted, and there was a tour of the plant with other candidates. They also gave an introduction to the company's business and what it does.

Database Administrator
The initial interview involved a panel of 5 people who asked a mix of questions about my past experiences and technical queries related to MS SQL. Specific topics covered included how to handle a database hanging on a stored procedure, the concept of a tail log backup, the distinction between dtexec and dtutil, and questions concerning clustering. Following this, there was a second, more informal interview with just the Director and the hiring manager.
- What actions would you take if a database consistently hangs when a specific stored procedure is executed?
