Behavioral

I got past the phone screen and the first on-camera interview. The person interviewing me said she'd set up a meeting with the executive, but then I heard nothing back. It felt like the 'fully remote' part of the job description wasn't really true.

Technical

The interview process was pretty simple and straightforward. I only had the initial phone screen, but it felt like it wasn't a good fit. They weren't really looking for someone to be an expert across the whole data stack (like ETL, tools, modeling, ML, etc.), but more specifically wanted a Tableau expert. I think I did okay showing my Tableau knowledge, but I made it clear that this is the weakest part of my skill set and I don't want to present myself as a data visualization expert.

The hiring process went smoothly. I got a call back in under a week and the interview was set up a few days later. It was a panel interview. Everyone was super nice and seemed like great people to work with. I had a really good time meeting them and learning about the job.
