Behavioral Technical Presentation

I interviewed for a position with the San Jose Earthquakes and went through a fairly standard interview process: a first-round, second-round, and final-round interview. The interviews were professional, and the process seemed organized up until the end. After the final round, I was told I would receive a decision by the end of the week. However, two weeks went by, and I heard nothing. I followed up with an email, and unfortunately, still received no response. While I completely understand that companies may decide to go in a different direction, being ghosted after three rounds of interviews was both disappointing and unprofessional. Clear communication would have been appreciated, especially after investing so much time in the process.

It started with a phone interview, and then there was a panel interview. It was a 4v4, which was new to me. I'd never interviewed with other people before and was pretty nervous about it. I asked friends and family if they had done this before, and it's not common.

Behavioral Presentation Other

A week after applying, I went to the office for an interview with the four-person creative marketing team. They seemed unprofessional and disorganized. They tossed my resume onto a stack of about ten others without even looking at it, and hadn't reviewed my portfolio. I walked them through my work and answered about fifteen minutes of basic questions. The next day, I got an email saying they were interested and asked if I'd do a design test that shouldn't take more than 5 hours. I agreed and got the assets. I spent all 5 hours creating a professional, polished player intro video. After a week of no response, I followed up via email, but got no reply. It's not uncommon to not hear back, but a quick rejection email would have been appreciated after spending 5 hours on a design test. This just confirmed my initial impression of the team: unprofessional and disorganized. Oh well. Best of luck to them.

The interview process was easy and quick. It started with a phone screen with the inside sales manager. After that, I came in to interview with the Group sales manager, Season ticket sales manager, and the Director of Ticket Sales. Finally, the inside sales manager called me to offer me the position.
