First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Samsung Electronics.
Software Engineer
Had a 3-hour coding test that involved a moderately hard graph problem, kinda like topological sort. Then there was an HR chat where they asked about Korean culture and my fit, and finally a technical interview that covered a scenario and my resume.
- Can you explain the architecture of Bert?
- Tell me about the architecture of LangGraph.
- Do you have experience with computer vision questions?
Software Developer
The Samsung interview was pretty organized. First, there was an online test covering coding, logic, and general aptitude. Then, if you passed, you had several technical interviews focusing on data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving, plus a system design chat. Lastly, an HR interview checked for communication, teamwork, and if you'd fit in. It felt fair and gave you a good shot to show what you know technically and with your soft skills.
- Can you explain the distinction between Dynamic Programming and Greedy algorithms, and provide an example?
GPU Software Engineer
I had a video chat with a director on Linkedin after they reached out. I sent my resume but then was left waiting for a long time for any follow-up. Even after messaging the director multiple times, they just told me not to contact other recruiters. Ultimately, I accepted another offer. It was a really bad experience, and it felt like they had to get approval from KR HQ for every hire or interview schedule, which made me feel negative about working there.
- What is your current role at their competitor company?
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What are your preferences?
