This was the best interview I've had so far. You need to be communicative and answer frankly and optimistically. I had to do a small test, which I passed. It's important to check the job description before the interview, and understanding the job background is also very crucial.

I applied for the SMB marketing manager job at Samsung in CHERTSEY, and it was a bad experience. They made me submit strategic ideas and a one-year marketing plan really early, before even talking about salary or what they were offering. I spent a lot of time and effort on it, and then they just ghosted me with no feedback. It's been over 2 months, and I saw the same job posted again, which was really demoralizing. I showed my marketing strategy presentation to some marketing friends, and they said they usually charge thousands for that kind of strategy, and I gave it away for free. It seems like Samsung wants free ideas instead of looking at candidates properly. It's also disrespectful of professional time and expertise, especially for a big company like Samsung. I hope Samsung changes how they deal with candidates and makes things fairer, more transparent, and respectful of what applicants contribute. Also, the office seemed male-dominated, which is another concern regarding gender equality.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They were more interested in asking about the strategy I built than my previous experience, which raised some concerns.

The interview process was pretty slow, spanning over two months and involving four interviews. It started with a recruiter call that went well. Then, I had a call with the hiring manager, which was just okay; she didn't seem very engaged, which felt a bit odd. Following that, two more interviews with other teams went great. After these four interviews, I received an automated rejection message. Given the time I invested, a personal email would have been more considerate, but this automated response does reflect the company culture. Honestly, I'm relieved I didn't get an offer, as Samsung has a reputation for a poor company culture, which this experience seems to confirm.
