Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Samsung Electronics.
Marketing
The Marketing panel interview in Dubai lacked clear expectations for the intensive case study they asked for. The focus during the presentation seemed loosely defined and didn't align well with the job description. There were few probing questions and the feedback was vague, suggesting the panel wasn't on the same page about the role's requirements. This lack of structure makes you wonder how candidates are actually evaluated and chosen.

Marketing
I was invited twice, but it was very unorganized and chaotic. The interviewers only had the application documents in hand for the first time during the interview. You get invited, invest time and effort, only to find out that due to lack of organization, there were no matches from the beginning. Communication was one-sided and the company culture is very outdated. There's a fear culture between employees and management.

Marketing
Two interviews happened in one day. The first one focused on skills, and the second one was about you overall. Since I was applying for marketing intern roles, they gave us 3 or 4 marketing strategy questions to choose from. Then, we had to submit a marketing strategy in 30 minutes, followed by a presentation to 3 interviewers. After these two interviews, there was a personality test. It wasn't too difficult, and the interviewers tried to make candidates feel relaxed. It was a 3-on-1 situation with 3 interviewers and 1 interviewee. Each interview lasted about 30 minutes, making the total time around two and a half hours. I was one of the first to interview, so it likely took about three or four hours on average for everyone.
