Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a total of 5 interviews over 4 weeks, eventually meeting with the manager for all of Latin America for an in-person interview. After the interview, they asked when I could start. The HR person following up with me (Carolina Bustos Rosales) confirmed they wanted to move forward with my profile and would give me a financial offer the next day. I waited days for contact, messaged Carolina, and she completely ghosted me. I find this to be a total lack of empathy and work ethics. During those 4 weeks I dedicated to the whole process, I turned down other offers, and the worst part is they stopped responding, which shows a great lack of professionalism on their part.

The process kicked off with a phone call with the HR person, then I was contacted by my future manager via email, which led to an in-person interview at the offices.

The interview process started with a quick chat with HR. Then, I had a second interview with two team members. It was a bit confusing because HR said they were looking for an intern or a fixed-term contract, but during the second interview, they mentioned they were looking for an intern, even though I was hoping for a fixed-term contract. Despite the confusion about the role, everyone on the team was really nice during our conversations and interviews.

This interview was supposed to be for an executive role, but they kept focusing on specialist skills and years of experience, which was different from the job description. They mentioned they were very busy and couldn't train new people, calling themselves a 'team of champions'. They repeatedly asked for deeper analytic skills even though my resume was available, making me wonder why they didn't just state that upfront. They were also very openly biased against Gen Z and didn't value work-life balance, stating they weren't keen on hiring 'Gen Zs who go for yoga after work and expect to be spoon fed at work'. They were proud of their team culture that glorified overtime, saying 'we usually try to end by 7'. The director even said, 'I'm running a business not a childcare'... I found these comments unprofessional and odd, especially since they assumed I was Gen Z when I'm not, and I was being polite and engaging throughout. It was good these behaviors came out early, though. It was probably the worst interview experience ever, but thankfully I quickly got a job at another company after much better interviews.
