An HR person set up the interview, but they weren't an interviewer. I was a bit confused when I arrived, mentioning I had an interview with that HR person, and they had to figure out where I should go. The interview itself was fine, pretty relaxed, and the questions weren't difficult. I was told to reach out to the HR person for my interviewers' emails if I had questions and that I'd hear back in a few days. The HR person didn't reply to my calls or emails when I tried to get contacts to send a thank you and some follow-up questions. Then, I got a generic rejection email two weeks later. I get that not everyone is a fit, but being ghosted and then them not sticking to their own timeline was disappointing.

There were two rounds for this job. The first was a screening, and the second was a panel interview with people from the department. They read questions from a list during both interviews. Sometimes they came across as patronizing with their body language and comments. I was ghosted by Salt Lake County after the final interview, which makes me question their professionalism and organization.

After submitting the application, I had to complete a very repetitive SurveyMonkey form which felt unnecessary as it asked for information already on my resume and cover letter. Then, they asked me to prepare a community event idea. The interview was scheduled for an hour and included a venue tour. However, they scheduled interviews back-to-back with no buffer, and my interview started 10 minutes late and ran 30 minutes over. To top it off, I got an email saying the search was canceled. I reached out to the recruiter and department head for information and feedback, but I never heard back. It's frustrating because they clearly need someone, so why waste everyone's time if they aren't going to fill the position?

The interview process was very easy and straightforward. I was hired very quickly and heard back from the hiring team in no time. It seems like a great place to work with really good people.
