3 interviews in 1 month. Very straightforward. 1st: HR screening interview (30 min). 2nd: Motivation interview with manager (1 hour). 3rd: Panel interview (1 hour = 60 mins). Received brief and had a week to prepare for a difficult task/mini defense.

First I had an HR call, then a prep call with my future manager. After that, I did a mock call where I had to qualify a prospect. Finally, there was a panel interview, which included a 'Why me?' question and the second part of the mock call where I had to dive deeper with the prospect and present our value.

  • What motivates you to pursue a career in sales?

3 Rounds very straight forward. Final round in person. The first round was introductory. 2nd round was basically just a prep for the 3rd. Wish they made the first two rounds more competitive so there isn't so much pressure on the last one.

The first interview is typically a 1-on-1 with a hiring manager, although you won't know who it is until the meeting is set up. It's scheduled for 30 minutes but could go longer or shorter. You'll get standard AE questions about your pipeline management, account qualification, and motivation for being an AE at Salesforce. If you have sales experience, these should be easy. After that, there's a panel interview where you'll present some information about yourself and, importantly, discuss your most successful deal. This round is crucial and can be unpredictable, as success often depends on the panel members and their individual priorities.
