Had a great initial call where we talked about the role and how my experience fit their needs. They answered my questions about the company, team structure, past challenges, and what they need right now. I didn't make it past this first round.

First there was a quick call with the recruiter, then I chatted with the hiring manager. We talked about the everyday stuff, what tools we'd use, and how the client side setup works. It was a chill chat and really helped me understand what the job involves.

They contacted me quickly after I applied on Indeed. First, I had a phone interview with HR. They mentioned a second phone interview would happen before I came in to meet people at the office, which seems to be consistent with other experiences. A positive was that the HR rep was direct and seemed honest, which I appreciated. However, it seems you have to chase them for an answer. When I was told they weren't moving forward with me, I asked for the reason and mentioned I was open to feedback. I thought I'd get an answer based on a comment from Salary.com on Glassdoor regarding another review. They never got back to me and didn't give any reason or feedback as they apparently claim to. This was the most disappointing part. Also, when asked about salary expectations, I gave a range based on their own estimated value for the role. I put in personal details, so I thought that range would be safe. It turns out they pay less than what they tell customers for the same job. They said they have more detailed data on their end, but I would expect the ranges to be closer, not $10k apart.

I had a phone interview for a VP of HR role in 2020. The interviewer did a good job explaining what the role entails and shared some history about the position and previous challenges faced by those who held it. They also mentioned during initial communications and the interview itself that they pride themselves on keeping candidates updated on their status. While I appreciated this, I was surprised to never hear back after the phone interview, especially since they emphasized their communication practices. Aside from the lack of follow-up, the process seemed organized.
