Business Systems Analyst
Started with HR, Katie was great! She was super helpful and we had a good chat rather than just Q&A. The next round was a video panel call, lasted an hour. We talked about my job's procedure outlines and how I feel about handling lots of calls daily. The team culture seems really good, both within and outside BSA. Lots of questions came up, and they were open to discussing them.
- Can you walk me through your current EDD process?
- What's your take on handling numerous calls throughout the day?
- Could you outline your typical job procedures?
Marketing Operations Specialist
The application was straightforward and all online. First, I had a screening phone interview with HR, which was mostly general questions to screen candidates. I enjoyed talking to the HR rep and got all my questions answered. Then, I had a video interview with the hiring manager, which was a great conversation about the role and the credit union industry. It helped me understand what a day in the life of a marketing team member looks like. Lastly, I had a remote group interview with marketing department leaders. I had some technical issues, but they were understanding and reassured me it wouldn't affect my chances. The whole process took about 2.5 months from applying to getting an offer. They were open to negotiating salary and considered my experience. I'm excited to join the team!
- How would you handle situations where there are many projects going on at once?
- How do you manage in situations that can change quickly?
- What is your approach to handling outcomes that are not ideal?
Mortgage Loan Servicer
I had a phone interview with HR and then two in-person interviews, all of which were pretty long. They ended up extending an offer, but it was contingent on a background and reference check. After they checked my references, they told me that two out of the three said I had issues adjusting to stress and got frustrated easily with heavy workloads. Because of this, they rescinded the offer. I asked them which references they called, and when I spoke to all three of them myself, none of them said they told the HR person any of that; in fact, they all said they gave glowing reviews and didn't mention those things at all. I'm really confused about what happened and why the offer was withdrawn. I had even prepped my references, letting them know the HR rep would be calling. I just wanted to get to the bottom of why I wasn't hired because I was really excited about the opportunity to work there.
- Can you share an instance where you rapidly resolved a customer's issue over the phone?
- Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with a challenging coworker and explain your approach.
Help Desk Representative
First, I had a call with a recruiter that went for about 45 minutes. Then, we arranged a video interview which took about 2 hours. This consisted of 1 hour with the recruiter and another HR person, followed by 1 hour with the hiring manager. After submitting background check details and references, I got an offer shortly after.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a difficult issue while assisting someone over the phone?
- Describe the most challenging problem you have successfully resolved.
- Can you discuss situations involving how you prioritize customer needs?
