First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sakura Finetek.
HR Manager
I turned down the offer even though the feedback was positive and the process was fast because of how I was treated, especially by the recruiter. I didn't feel respected, there was obvious age discrimination, and the final offer had a different job title, a much lower salary than I expected, and a weirdly short 7-month term.
- Besides the typical questions, what do your parents do?
- How old are you? I know how people your age are...
Administrative Assistant
The first day, I interviewed with the HR manager and the person I would directly report to. Each interview was held in the downstairs board room. They wanted me to start as soon as possible, so they scheduled my second interview the next day. I met with two other managers I would occasionally report to and concluded with a conversation with my direct boss. I received an offer later that night and signed paperwork a few days later.
- What do you know about Sakura?
Project Manager
I started with a phone screen with HR where we talked about my background, what salary I was looking for, and when I could start. Then, I had a second interview with the hiring manager and one of the current project managers on the team.
- Can you describe your experience managing internal projects aimed at process improvement?
- Could you share some behavioral examples from your past work?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Field Service Engineer
It was a 3 stage interview process. The first interview was with the line manager, the second with an HR representative, and the third with the line manager and a future colleague. It was a pretty relaxed interview.
- Are you willing to travel?
- Would you be open to covering other areas?
