It was experience-based. There was a screening, then a first interview, second interview, and third interview. Then they made a decision. They asked me questions and listened to my responses, sometimes taking notes. I had to ask all my questions before I got up to leave. As I was leaving, I reiterated my interest in the position with enthusiasm, thanked them sincerely for the meeting, offered a firm handshake, and maintained eye contact.

I was reached out to by the HR director from Saks in my city. I went through about 3 different phone call "interviews" before going in to talk to the Assistant Manager of the store. Everyone was super positive throughout the experience. I really appreciate how casual talking to everyone was. I never felt pressured or felt like I was being told a lie. Once I had my interview in person , which i was assuming was the last stage before an offer was going to be made, I was asked to submit my resume online through their ATS. I never sought Saks out, they approached me to interview. Once the in person interview was done, I was essentially ghosted by everyone who I had previously talked to over the phone and in person. I sent multiple emails to follow up on the process, and hopefully get any feedback I could apply for a different role I may apply for in the future. It has been over 2 months since I started the interview process. The role itself was closed on my application. Feedback I have for Saks: Your candidates are also customers. When you completely disregard and ghost a candidate, it says a lot about how you value your customers.

The process was really slow, and they took a long time to get back to me. They had this personality test that felt super repetitive and took more than an hour. Then, HR called me for a screen, but they said I didn't have enough experience for a Counter Manager role, even though I've been managing in retail cosmetics for over 10 years.
