First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Saint Alphonsus Health System.
Medical Technologist
The team was really nice and made me feel welcome. It felt more like a casual chat to get to know each other. They answered all my questions about the job thoroughly. I talked about what I'm looking for as a new grad, and they pointed out aspects of the role that matched my goals! They were upfront about the good and bad parts, which I appreciated.
- Given that you are from out of state, what motivated your decision to apply to Boise?
Patient Service Representative
The interview process was fast and the interviewer asked about 8 questions. They mostly focused on my experience with customer support and care, and how I've handled situations. They also asked hypothetical 'what would you do' questions.
- How would you manage a person who is upset?
Registered Nurse
I started by talking to the HR/nurse recruiter at the hospital. They had me go to the SARMC website and fill out an application. I then reached out to request an interview. My first interview was with the nurse recruiter in their office. They asked me why I wanted to work for SARMC and we talked about my education and experience. After that, the nurse recruiter contacted the nurse manager of the unit I was interested in. I met with the nurse manager to discuss my experience and my desired hours and shift commitment. Finally, I went back to the nurse recruiter and they offered me the job.
- Could you describe the most challenging patient you've provided care for?
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
The first interview was on Microsoft Teams. It lasted about 45 minutes and covered basic scenario-based questions, like how you stay organized and prioritize tasks. I really enjoyed my time speaking with the two ladies who interviewed me.
- How do you manage timelines?
- How do you feel about working remotely?
- How do you prioritize your work and stay organized?
