First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Saiful Bouquet.
Structural Engineer
I applied 9 months ago and just heard back for an interview with 3 principals. They were 15 minutes late and didn't have my documents ready. They asked if I needed sponsorship, and after I said no, the interview went downhill. One principal, Matt Skokan, seemed lost, received two phone calls, and left midway. He questioned my course selections based on my transcript. The other principal was nicer and asked about my current activities. There were no technical questions; they only cared about GPA. The HR lady was disorganized, and nobody seemed coordinated.
- They just look at your grades and ask about classes.
Structural Engineer
So the HR person gave me a call to set up a video interview. Then, three senior engineers chatted with me, and they were super nice. They asked the usual interview questions, like stuff about schoolwork, past projects, and my reasons for wanting to join them.
- Tell me about your coursework in school.
- Tell me about the projects you did in school.
- Why do you want to join our company?
Structural Engineer
The interview process was quite relaxed, mixing personal and technical inquiries. The first stage was a more technical session via Zoom, and the second focused on assessing my personality and cultural fit.
- Could you discuss Structural Fuses for Steel Lateral Force Resisting Systems?
