First, there was an online coding test with about three coding questions (one easy, two medium, similar to LeetCode). Then, there were a couple of technical interviews covering PyTorch basics and some fundamental models. After that, I had a manager interview and finally an HR interview.

5 video interviews because of covid with several functions: HR, direct manager, manager's manager & their manager, Chinese counterparts, and the CEO of France & CEO of Europe. Then the HR confirms or not. After that come the paperwork and the contract.

Reached out to technical staff after seeing a job posting. Had an interview with a research scientist over Skype. A few days later, HR scheduled a follow-up call which wasn't really an interview, more of a Q&A session where most of my questions were deferred back to the technical staff. They sent over the company's application form to fill out, which asked for information already on my resume. I had another offer and asked if they could speed things up, but then they ghosted me.

There were 3 interviewers. The interview was quite relaxed and laid back. It took place in a side meeting room in the main office, which was a bit daunting because it's a massive office full of people. The interviewers were very kind and made me feel at ease. It was more of a conversation than a formal interview, pretty chill overall.
