First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SAI MedPartners.
Life Science Consultant
This interview process was really bad. It took ages, like 4 months, and then they gave me a super low offer. They even changed the job title to fit the lowball offer, even though we talked about salary expectations multiple times during the interviews.
- I had two interviews with HR.
- Then I interviewed with the Project Manager and VP.
- Next was a case study.
Consultant
The whole process took about 2 months to complete, with 3 interviews in total. It started with an HR call, then a 1-hour behavioral interview with 3 directors, and the last one was with the VP. They rejected me after 2 months, saying I wasn't a good fit. It felt like a waste of my time and energy, and the interviews, especially with the directors and VP, gave off negative vibes. They kept emphasizing how tough the job is, how difficult primary research can be, and that you need a thick skin. Overall, it was a really bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend joining this company.
- Could you share your reasons for seeking a new opportunity and why you are interested in SAI specifically?
Competitive Intelligence Analyst
The hiring process was pretty quick. It kicked off with a chat with HR about my background and general interests. Then, I had two phone calls where they went deeper into the role and what the job entails. After that, I went in person and met with four different people. They dug into my past experience, why I'm keen on competitive intelligence, and my ability to handle the job's duties. All these chats were pretty chill, not trying to trick me. To wrap things up, I had to give a 15-minute presentation about a new drug to everyone in the office, and then there was a Q&A. Some questions were specific and needed a good grasp of the subject, but they were cool about the answers. I didn't hear anything for weeks after trying to follow up with HR, and then I was told I didn't get it because they needed someone with a different clinical field background.
- What draws you to working in competitive intelligence?
- Tell me about your background and why you are a good fit for competitive intelligence.
- What are your motivations for pursuing this competitive intelligence role?
Healthcare Analyst
I got contacted for a phone interview 2 days after I sent in my CV. In total there were 4 rounds. The recruiter I first spoke to was super fast and helped me schedule the next interviews with the Project Manager and the Executive Director right after she finished with me. My phone interviews with both upper management folks went really well, they were very friendly. The interview with the Project Manager was behavioral, and the one with the Exec Director was more technical. After those, I was invited to do a presentation about a new drug in the pharmaceutical space within one of the company's areas. After the presentation, the panel asked me questions about the drug. I got an offer the same day from the Director after the last round. I was really impressed with how SAI Med managed their interview process so quickly and smoothly. Even during the four rounds, the interviewers asked for my personal feedback on the process, which made me feel important and not just like another candidate. Really good experience!
- Could you assess the competitive landscape?
- What is the drug's value proposition?
- Describe the mechanism of action.
