I applied on Sage's website and Michael, the recruiter, contacted me the next day to talk about the role. He was really patient while I figured out my start date. Once I was ready, Michael set up my first interview, which included a presentation. He was super helpful and supportive, which was great for me as I tend to overthink things. Michael arranged my second interview within two days of the first. They made me an offer just a few hours after I finished the second interview! I talked to three people in total: the Head of Sales, the Head of Training, and the Sales Manager, who will be my boss. They were all really nice and made me feel comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this process; it was fast, needed good research into the company, and had a nice mix of informal and formal interview styles.

Behavioral Technical

First, I had a telephone interview with recruitment where they asked about my past experience, why I wanted to apply, and my salary expectations. Then, I was offered a formal interview, which could be done via Teams or in person if I was local. Two hiring managers greeted me and asked the questions. They made me feel comfortable. Within a week, they contacted me back to discuss the job offer, start dates, and so on. Just before I was due to start, they called to check in and make sure everything was set up and if I had any final questions.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had 3 stages. It started with HR and then went to the sales director, and finally to the VP. The first and second interviews were clear about the job and the steps. They were conversational. The last interview with the VP was also conversational but he seemed to misunderstand the role compared to what HR and the director said. Everyone was nice, but I couldn't tell if they liked my answers. I was bummed they didn't get back to me after the last interview even though I called and emailed them.
