So I interviewed with the NPD team. Right after my second interview, someone from the team told my current employer I interviewed there. My boss and their boss know now. It's been 3 weeks since my boss talked to me about it, so we'll see what happens. This is a breach of professional courtesy and makes me question the team's and company's ethics. Interviewer beware. It was a panel interview with mostly behavioral questions. It had multiple stages: first a phone screen with HR, then a panel interview with the team, and finally a chat with the hiring manager and management. The interview went well, and everyone was professional. HR communicated well, though it took a few weeks, likely due to travel schedules. I didn't get the offer, but HR did call to give me the feedback personally. I was happy with Sage until word got back to my current employer. Disappointing.

Behavioral Presentation

There were several levels of interviews, starting with HR, then a VP, followed by a panel interview, and finally another VP. The initial interviews were moderately challenging, but they required me to create a 90-day plan which was a lot of work, and they never used it. The panel and final VP interviews were more in-depth. I met great people and felt optimistic, expecting to hear back within days. However, I haven't heard anything in months, not even a rejection notice. It was very unprofessional and showed a lack of integrity from HR.

The entire hiring process lasted about a month. It started with a phone call, followed by a one-on-one meeting. The third interview involved a sales pitch. If that was successful, I was invited for a third interview where I observed the job duties and then met with the Director of Sales. This final interview is quite different from typical interviews, focusing on how well you can 'sell' yourself and stand out. It's a 4-hour long interview, so be ready mentally, as it can be very draining.

The interview process was pretty long, involving multiple visits and meetings with different managers. A unique part was spending a day in the office doing a 'ride-along,' which was a first for me. It was a good experience overall, giving me a lot of insight into the company and the role, and also allowing them to check me out more informally.
