Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Safesplash Swim School.
Swim Instructor
The interview happened a long time ago with someone who stepped back from managing. It mirrors how interviews are done now. I went to the place, and she asked about what I can do and had me swim all four strokes. She said she wanted me to work 3 days in the water and one day marketing, which I wasn't too keen on.
- Do you know all four swim strokes?
- How many days a week do you attend university/college?
- Can you reach the location regardless of the season or weather conditions?
Swim Instructor
You email the manager, and they'll set up a time for an online interview with the head manager. They just ask you questions about prior experience to swimming and working with kids.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What experience do you have with swimming?
- What experience do you have working with children?
Swim Coach
I interviewed with managers for the Swim Coach position. It was very informal and pleasant. Jenn and Alicia interviewed me. They asked general questions about my experience with coaching, teaching, my education background, how many hours I was interested in working, and if I have a car or reliable transportation.
- What is your experience with kids and swimming?
Swim Instructor
the interview process was easy. It took about a week to get the job and to start training. If you are CPR or AED certified, you have a better chance of getting the job. If not, you can get certified pretty quickly online.
