First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Safeguard Properties.
Customer Account Representative
The first interview was with a temp agency, then the second interview was at the company's office. It seemed like they interviewed other people that day too, as there were candidates before and after me. I only spoke with one HR person for about 30 minutes. They asked typical HR questions about customer service and making sure I wouldn't cause problems. Then we discussed my past work experience and how I'd be a good fit for the job. The whole process from start to finish took about 4 weeks.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a difficult coworker and explain how you managed it?
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
- How do you see yourself fitting into this role?
Accounts Payable Coordinator
I passed the phone interview and was told I had to do an online test, which I passed. Then, I was called back for an interview. I got an email with employment forms and interview info. While looking them over, I saw they wanted me to sign a form letting them use my credit score against me for employment. This is illegal, but legal if you sign the form. After more research from this site and others, I decided to cancel the interview. I don't want to get involved with a company that has bad employee reviews and management drama. It seems like they need to make a major change and improve how things are run, and also find ways to stop managers from yelling at and harassing employees.
- Regarding your previous company, what were your responsibilities?
- Could you detail your primary duties?
- Do you have any prior criminal convictions?
Director of Operations
Safeguard scheduled all my interviews for one day, which made it easy to take off work. After the initial interviews, they invited me back for another round with a different group of people. Many of them were my potential peers. I liked that they were efficient and focused on ensuring I was both qualified and a good fit for the team. Everyone gave me a chance to ask questions, and they were very upfront with their answers.
- What drives your performance in your current role?
Property Preservation Specialist
You fill out the application on the web. Then, they'll have a quick phone chat with you. After that, you get an email with a general 'test' to do. Once they've looked at your phone interview and test results, they'll set up an in-person interview. Some departments do more than one interview, but I only had one and found out I got the job the same day.

Safeguard Properties Interview Questions
Quoted word for word from Safeguard Properties interview reports.
“There's a village with 100 married couples. Every husband has cheated. Every wife knows if any man other than her husband cheats, but not if her own husband cheats. Adultery is illegal, and any wife who can prove her husband cheated must kill him that day. The wives never disobey. The village queen visits and declares that at least one husband has been unfaithful. What's the outcome?”
