First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Safeguard Business Systems.
Audit Assistant
The interview process involved a situational assessment first. Then there was a recorded interview where you had to record yourself. Finally, an assessment centre with several tasks and an interview to wrap things up.
- Could you introduce yourself?
Inside Sales Representative
So, first I had a quick phone chat. Then I went in for an in-person interview where they gave me a little test. After that, I spent about an hour shadowing someone to see how the job works. Once I was done with all that, they made me an offer.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in sales?
Manager
After I applied, I had my first interview with the assistant, and she asked a lot about what I know about the company, the industry, and business in general. Then for the second interview, I talked to the Distributor about my interest in the job. We first talked on the phone and then met in person. Most of the interviews were personality-based, but there were also some questions that tested my thinking ability.
- Can you share a past workplace challenge you encountered?
Accountant
After you submit your application, which should have a resume and cover letter that are tailored to the job and highlight your relevant experience and skills, you’ll usually have an initial screening. This is typically a phone interview with HR to verify your qualifications and interest in the position. You might then have a technical or skill assessment, where you could be given a test or an assignment like a coding challenge or case study. After that, you’ll probably have a first round interview with the hiring manager or a team member, focusing on your technical skills, experience, and cultural fit. This is followed by a second round interview, which could be more in-depth with multiple team members or higher management, and might include situational or behavioral questions. Finally, you may have a final interview that's a mix of technical and behavioral questions, where you might also discuss salary expectations, benefits, and work culture. Then, the employer will contact your references to verify your previous work experience and performance. If everything goes well, you’ll get a job offer with details about salary, benefits, and start date.
- Could you tell us a little about yourself?
