HR called me for an in-person interview, making it sound great. But when I got there, HR wasn't present. I interviewed with the CEO and biz dev, even though no marketing team members were there. This felt like a red flag because they weren't the right interviewers for the role, especially since the CEO said marketing wasn't his area when I asked deeper questions. It also felt like they wanted free consulting, asking for specific e-commerce recommendations for their digital properties, which I kept vague. The hour-long interview felt more like a personality test than a skills test. They said HR would follow up, and I was ghosted after expressing interest in salary details. I did see potential to help their disorganized marketing department, though.

Behavioral Group Presentation

Safari is pretty thorough in screening candidates, regardless of experience. It starts with a phone chat with HR to delve deeper into your background and motivation for applying. Then, there's an in-person interview with the sales team. The first part is a group session with senior account developers to gauge cultural fit. If that goes well, you'll meet with managers to discuss your experience and the job duties in more detail. The final step is a group interview with the President & CEO. Be ready to talk about the company and its competitors – this is your chance to really sell yourself. Success can lead to an offer on the spot or within a few days.

I applied online through LinkedIn. The HR person called me for a phone screen, and then she invited me for an in-person interview. The in-person interview had HR and two other people from the sales team. After the interview, HR mentioned they would discuss internally and then get back to me. I sent a thank-you email the next morning and another email about a week later. However, I never heard back, and they didn't reply to either of my emails.

Behavioral Other

It's a stupid process where they ask you to pick an animal and explain why. You'll be interviewed by two other account developers who don't seem to want to be there either. It's more of a personality competition. They have high expectations even though the compensation is just average. There's no need to negotiate as there's no wiggle room.
