First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Saela.
Fleet Supervisor
The interview was professional and stayed on point. Business casual dress code. The questions were specific to the job and industry. It was a very friendly and relaxed environment. The interview went long, over 45 mins, and we had to stop quickly.
- What makes you want to work for Saela?
HR Recruiter
I got a call early in the morning to set up an in-person interview. It was a bit messy because I got contacted from two different phone numbers and by email. The interview itself was pretty short, just three standard questions. The hiring manager seemed pretty confident they'd let me know by a specific day, but that day passed and then I got an automated rejection email later in the week.
- How do you tell a candidate they didn't get the job?
Marketing Specialist
The overall experience was great. Depending on who you interview with, it can be more of a "conversational" interview, which I prefer. The initial phone interview and then a 1:1 with the marketing director were great. He was a nice guy and they really care about how you will fit into their culture. I felt like I was able to explain myself pretty well and show off some portfolio work while answering questions. The second half of the third interview was with the CMO. He was also a nice guy, but very talkative. I barely got a word in during the hour I was with him. The executive offices look like they spent too much on them, super flashy. I also got a much stronger "summer sales" vibe from this part of the interview coming from him. I felt like I was being recruited to go to Kentucky next summer and he was amping me up for it. I felt like I was supposed to decide right now if I was going to give my whole life to edge or not. He kept telling me how successful I would be if I stuck around for the long haul and dove into the Edge culture. I’m sure this is all true and I don’t think this is a bad thing as it’s their culture to interview this way and it’s made them successful, but the culture didn’t jive with my personality. I felt like I was being over sold on the Company and looked elsewhere.
- Can you tell me about your morals and how you will help others in the company?

Human Resources
I applied online. A recruiter emailed and called me around the same time a few days later. I missed the call and they left a message with questions. The email was from someone else but they were on the same page, asking for my availability for an interview. I called back, left a message, and emailed them back. After two days with no response, I kept trying to reach them. Suddenly, I got a generic email saying they were moving on with other applicants. I replied, explaining what happened and asking if there was some confusion. I still haven't heard back. So overall, it was a very unprofessional and rude experience.
