I applied on the website and uploaded my resume. Then I had an interview with the Chair and two professors. They deliberated for a week before deciding to hire me. Afterward, I received an email with the job offer.

For any temporary position, you first apply at Losrios.edu and submit all necessary and optional documents. After that, you'll be invited for an interview. The committee will interview you, even if they already know you, and their decision will be based solely on the interview itself, so make sure to convey all your key points effectively.

The interview process involved a panel of faculty and administrators. I was given undergraduate class questions from a subject outside my expertise and not listed in the job description. The secretary struggled with English and had a poor microphone. I was also restricted on the time to complete assignments. During the interview, some faculty members from different demographics seemed to dislike me, showing smirks and nods. The dean mentioned a decision in 'a couple of weeks,' which was problematic for a January move to Sacramento from an October interview. I suspect the hiring committee intended to hire a specific candidate. It felt like a waste of my time.

The interview was pretty simple, with straightforward questions. There were 10 questions in total, and I was interviewed by 5 people. Just stay confident and answer clearly.
