First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sabre Industries.
Marketing Manager
They invited me to their headquarters and gave me a take-home assignment. I submitted the homework but never got a response, which felt really unprofessional. I was really aligned with the company values and thought I would have enjoyed the role, so I was disappointed that I put in all that work for the assignment and got no follow-up.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a challenging colleague?
Director of Finance
I had a virtual meeting with the recruiter. Then I traveled to Iowa for a four-hour, in-person interview with the team. The welcome was cold and no one asked about my flight. There was a complete lack of respect. I noticed work culture issues, specifically an anti-team environment. The team didn't seem to expect me until the morning of the interview, which wasn't a good experience.

Supply Chain Director
I drove into town for the interview, arriving early but the interviewer was about an hour late. They smirked at me when the interview started. They didn't take much of a lead, and I didn't get a good vibe, but they did say they'd recommend me for more steps. Further interviews with senior management were pretty bland, and the final interview was cut short by the interviewer, who had previously cancelled to reschedule, telling me it was so 'I would have all the time that I deserved'. I never got any feedback after the last interview – they just ghosted me. It was quite disappointing given the 'family culture' they bragged about online. The only good part was one senior manager who chatted with me before the first interview when it was clear the interviewer wasn't going to show up on time.
- Can you tell me about the number of roles you have had in the past?
Shift Supervisor
I met with plant management and it was a very professional experience. They gave me information about the job responsibilities and expectations. I left the interview feeling encouraged and I'm looking forward to hearing back with feedback. I interviewed for a second shift position, but I would prefer a day shift if one becomes available.
- Can you describe your management style?
