First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sézane.
Visual Merchandiser
After applying, I was emailed to set up a first video call. This call, about 30 minutes, was to discuss my background, motivations, and understanding of the role. If I move forward, I'll be contacted for a second interview, this time in person at the store. This will be with the Visual Merchandiser and will include another interview plus a practical exercise to check my skills and how well I fit the brand.
- Can you provide three words that characterize the Sézane woman?
Stockroom Associate
I went through a few interviews for the Stock Associate job at Sézane, talking with the Retail Recruitment Specialist and the Head of Retail West, among others. Everyone was nice, professional, and really loved the brand, which felt like a good sign about the company culture. However, the whole thing took longer than I thought and wasn't super organized. There were delays, reschedules, and long quiet spells where I wasn't sure what was happening with my application. After three chats and feeling like I connected with the team, I got rejected without much explanation, which made me feel like my time wasn't really appreciated. A clearer timeline or a quick feedback chat would have made the whole experience way better.
- What makes you want to work for Sézane?
Demand Planner
This hiring experience was quite disappointing. The recruiter, who was clearly unprofessional, used the informal "tu" form with me from the start, without even properly introducing herself. Throughout our conversation, I felt a constant judgment about my past experiences and the reasons for leaving previous jobs, without any real listening or constructive exchange. Her lack of respect and professionalism were obvious, compounded by a haughty and pretentious attitude. This makes one imagine an equally problematic management of her team. A very negative experience.
- What were the reasons for leaving your previous employers?
Sales Advisor
I applied for a fixed-term contract for the holiday season. A week later, the HR person from Sézane contacted me. She asked me to introduce myself and explain why I wanted to apply to Sézane. She then invited me to a group interview the next day. There were only three of us and one manager. The manager drew a floor plan of the Sézane apartment interior and asked us to write our names on post-it notes. She then presented us with different scenarios, like 'the boutique has just opened and about twenty tourists enter the boutique,' and asked us to place ourselves in the different zones of the store.

- Could you share a detail about yourself that isn't mentioned on your resume?
