First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at S. L. Nusbaum Realty Co..
Intern
It was an in-person interview that went pretty quickly and smoothly. They asked about me as a person, my hobbies, and why I was drawn to the CRE field. Schoolwork and grades came up too. Everyone was really friendly, so there wasn't much to stress about.
- So, what do you like to do when you're not busy?
- Do you have any particular activities or hobbies you're into?
Housekeeper
I interviewed with some really friendly people who were very open about the job I was applying for and explained it in detail. They offered me the position, and I'm just waiting on the background check results now.
- Were you available to work full-time?
Leasing Consultant
I applied online and then heard back from the property manager about a month later to set up an in-person interview at the apartment complex. The interview was about 45 minutes long. A couple of weeks after that, I was asked to come in to do the paperwork for a background check and drug test. Once those results were in, they called me and offered me the job.
- What's your strategy for handling a challenging resident?
Leasing Consultant
I got a call asking me to come in for an interview. As soon as I arrived, I overheard the property manager talking about residents with other staff. Eventually, she met with me. We discussed some things, and she seemed to like me. I completed an application and was asked if I wanted to proceed with a drug test. Although I usually wait until a job is offered, I agreed to it and also gave permission for a background check. A few days later, a manager from a different property called me in for a second interview at their location. The interview itself was okay. I was looking for growth opportunities as my previous company wasn't offering any at the time. My advice is to not do a drug test or background check until you've been offered the job. I didn't like that about this company, and they seemed unprofessional.
