I spent hours on the phone in interviews with HR recruiter (from Omnicare) and their hired IT consultant. Then spent hours onsite in face-to-face interviews with top brass. Then waited for three weeks with no word from them and I followed up with voice mail and email to them. Then finally got a call back from IT consultant with follow-up questions. They led me to believe I was a finalist for the position... "You'll be hearing from HR again soon." Well, you can guess what happened next... no communication from them for almost 2 months now. Once again, I attempted to follow up, but no response. Totally unprofessional in the process. Their IT consultant was rude, uninformed, and seemed to be at odds with the rest of the atmosphere. The Omnicare recruiter must have fallen off the face of the earth. Affirms my belief that "HR" doesn't stand for Human Resources, but Horrible Reputation. Senior executives in Louisville seem to be solid and would probably be good to work with, but all other aspects of the process were less than acceptable. I understand they eventually felt that I was not their choice, but to not communicate that is pathetic.

I applied for an internal transfer to a Case Manager III position, which was a promotion of more than one level from my previous role in Intake/Customer Service. HR contacted me quickly and scheduled an in-person interview with the new team's management. When I got there, the supervisors told me the program manager might drop by since she had a deadline, but she never showed up. The interview itself was mostly fine, but the HR rep accidentally mentioned I was interviewing against a friend from my current team and hinted we might be competing for multiple openings.

I applied using my phone and got an email the same day for a phone interview. The phone interview was really basic stuff about me, super easy. After that, they offered me an in-person interview with two supervisors from different areas. It was short, about 20 minutes. I got the job offer two weeks later. The hiring process also included a background check and a drug test at LabCorp.

Behavioral Technical Group Presentation

I had a preliminary interview with three people from different departments. It was an HR rep, a case manager from another team, and the case manager for the team I'd be joining. After that, they set a training date, which is when you meet your team and manager. The training lasts a month, and if you don't meet the company's skill and standard requirements, the team won't launch and will have to train again.
