First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RVO Health.
Editor
The interview process was quite extensive but covered everything well. They actually considered me for a few different positions. It kicked off with a chat from the recruiters, followed by several rounds of interviews via Zoom. It wrapped up with meetings with the main company leaders.
- What specifically attracted you to health content?
- In what ways do you ensure your work is understandable to everyone?
Content Designer
I had an interview with HR first. Then I had to give a 15-20 minute presentation to the hiring manager about a project from my portfolio. HR was quick, but the hiring manager was super late for my Zoom interview (like 30 mins), which was annoying. It would've been good if they told me what they wanted to see from my portfolio projects. After my presentation, the hiring manager said she was late for another meeting and had to go. She didn't really ask any questions about my work or seem very interested in how it fits the role.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Technical Product Manager
It started with a recruiter screen, then I met the hiring manager, and after that I met with a few team members. Each meeting had different questions based on who I was talking to, but they were pretty standard for the field. There was also a part where I had to show how I'd write dev requirements. The whole thing took just a couple of weeks.
- When multiple stakeholders want different things, how do you decide what to work on first, and how do you handle those who are unhappy with the prioritization?
- Can you describe your approach or method for problem-solving?
- How do you approach writing development requirements?

RVO Health reached out about interview dates, and after I chose some, they said those didn't work and needed it to be sooner. I was on vacation abroad but agreed and woke up super early for the phone screen. They then wanted a follow-up interview, and I was available for all the dates they proposed. However, they canceled my interview twice, even after I rescheduled twice. In the end, they just told me they had already hired someone. It was a mess – disorganized and unprofessional. I tried to be flexible, but they didn't even give me a chance to interview. Seriously, avoid this company; they seem to have no idea what they're doing and just wanted to waste my time.
- Asked some basic screening questions.
