It was a super professional and thorough process. I interviewed with the senior leaders and also with the people who would report to me. This was great for me to understand the challenges and opportunities I'd face in the role.

The interview process involved one phone interview and one in-person interview. For the phone interview, it was pretty standard. They asked why I was interested in the company, what I knew about direct marketing, why I was interested in this role, and then had me discuss my past work. The in-person interview was with my direct supervisor. Everyone there is really friendly and seems to know their stuff.

After being referred by someone there, I got contacted by Russ Reid about a week after applying. My first contact was a recruiter named Megan, who stayed my main point of contact throughout. She was nice and clear about whether I'd be a good fit. Our phone call lasted about an hour, and we decided to set up an in-person interview. Two days later, I went in and met the team I would've been working with. My interviewers were great, relaxed but still gave me a realistic picture of the job. We talked for about 45 minutes. The recruiter called me about two hours after that to see if I had more questions and to get my feedback on the process so far. Russ Reid seems to really care about feedback. The next week, they did reference and background checks.

The hiring process was quick, and I found it to be better than at other companies because you meet with a few people at once instead of one by one. The whole experience was professional and efficient, respecting both their time and mine. Regardless of the outcome, they promised to notify candidates within two days.
