The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview with the manager and another employee. They also gave me an office tour at the end. The whole process felt pretty laid back and everyone was really responsive. They asked general data-related questions and inquired about my previous projects.

I applied to a position at Printfly at the start of 2018 and didn't hear back. Almost a year later, their lead recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. The recruiter called late on the interview day, sounding stressed due to ongoing home repairs and noise. She asked three skill-related questions and then asked to reschedule for half an hour later, but never called back. The recruiter didn't introduce herself or the company, nor did she provide a job overview, instead jumping into skill questions without seeming to fully grasp the job's tool requirements. She then ended the interview prematurely with a fabricated excuse, which felt disrespectful and contrary to the company's stated values of open and honest communication. I wouldn't want to work for a company that doesn't practice its values.

I had a phone chat with a manager, then two in-person meetings with top executives and owners. The interviews felt pretty laid-back and conversational. They seemed to want me to feel comfortable and be my genuine self, and they mirrored that vibe. While there were a couple of standard questions, most of it was just a real, open talk with the senior folks. I thought it was a nice change, more engaging and respectful to candidates. Regardless of the outcome, it was a good experience meeting the management, and I'd definitely consider applying again if the chance comes up. I'm sure the company will do well as long as they keep treating their candidates and employees with respect.

Found the job posting on Craigslist. You have to send in a job test, which was recreating artwork in either Illustrator or Photoshop, along with the rest of your application. But, you really wanted to impress them, you had to send the artwork separated into spot colors. Once called in for an interview you have to do another design test using both Photoshop and Illustrator. Most of the questions revolved around my resume, but others were more typical.
