Technical Coding System Design

Started with a recruiter phone screen, which went well. Then had two technical interviews. Both technical interviews were quite short, only 30 minutes, and involved tasks that would normally take more time. This approach can work for a coding interview to see progress, but the 30-minute system design interview was tough. There wasn't enough time to properly think or gather requirements, and it felt like a constant stream of questions. I didn't get an offer and was told it wasn't a good fit, even though I thought I did well in the programming part and okay in the system design.

Coding Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a great experience with Runway during their hiring process. It took a little over a month in total, including an intro call with the recruiter, a screening, a virtual onsite, and finalizing the offer. The screening consisted of a coding round, followed by four onsite rounds, which were all discussion-based and included elements of machine learning design, questions to evaluate cultural compatibility, and my research background. The process was very smooth and I felt truly valued as a candidate. They were very prompt, transparent, and empathetic throughout. I accepted the offer because 1. I felt very positive about the people I talked to and the company culture and 2. They offer fair pay.
