Assistant Manager
The interview process involved a review of questions and training materials, with a test specifically required for the second interview. This is a well-run establishment, originally from Georgia and now operating in Texas. Their food is excellent, and their commitment to customer service is evident.
- A set of questions and training resources were given, and a test was needed for Interview #2.
Server
It's pretty straightforward. You send in your application online, and then they'll call you to come in. Once you're here, you'll chat with a couple of managers, and if everything looks good, they'll offer you the job. After that, you'll come in for an orientation, and your first day will be spent immediately on training.
- Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
- What makes you want to work here?
- What's your background in serving people?
Server Assistant
The interview process included a direct manager who seemed a bit intimidating, but I managed to stay calm. It felt like a single mistake could end the interview.
- What is your understanding of Persian cuisine?
- Can you describe what hospitality means to you?
Bartender
Be mindful not to schedule your interview during their busy lunch hours. I was given a packet to fill out, and noticed what seemed like interview questions with a manager's scoring section. I thought it was for them to use, but it turned out to be for me to complete. There's a company policy requiring interviews with three managers for hiring, and only two were available for me. They mentioned they'd reschedule for the third manager to interview me.
- Can you name three types of white wine grapes?
- Can you name four types of red wine grapes?
- How would you explain medium-rare to a customer?
