I had to introduce myself. They asked about my leisure hobbies. I was supposed to speak English for a bit. My Master's thesis and research interests were questioned. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere.

Two ladies conducted the interview. They clearly explained my tasks and where I would sit in the office. Details like salary and hours were already clear and mentioned, but didn't require in-depth discussion. I wasn't asked many questions, and those I was asked were mostly about my path to this role.

After successfully completing the diploma thesis with a very good grade, you are usually approached by the professor and offered a position. This relates to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Usually, the position is divided into teaching activities and research projects from third-party funds or grants. The dissertation topic is usually thematically related to the project activities.

It was a good experience overall. Initially, I had an online talk with two professors from the institute. They gave me the result in a timely manner. This was followed by a Zoom interview, and then later, an in-person visit to the group before the contract officially began.
