The entire interview process, from initial recruiter contact to the final onsite interview and outcome communication, stretched over about two and a half months. During the onsite, I was interviewed by a rather junior developer who asked what seemed like basic coding questions. I'm still unsure about the purpose of those specific questions, perhaps the interviewer just didn't have much else to ask. At the time, I had already accepted a director of product position with another well-known company, so I didn't follow up on this one, especially since they took so long to get back to me. My advice for Rubicon would be to clarify your hiring needs and assemble an appropriate interview panel. It would also be beneficial for interviewers to undergo some form of interview training.

This was a great hiring process, honestly the best I've experienced, even better than Facebook or Google. I applied online and had an initial screening call with Tech HR. Then, I had one call with the Hiring PM Manager and another with the Technical Manager. They flew me out to LA for an onsite interview that lasted about 4 hours. The HR team was super nice, handled my flight from SF, and made me feel welcome. One of the interviews was during lunch, and I thought they'd just chat, but nope, they interviewed me the whole time! The office environment seemed really positive, people focused but not stressed. I got to talk with three VPs of Product Management, which was a really valuable experience, even though I didn't get the job. The HR manager said to keep in touch for the future.
