The interview questions were pretty easy, but the HR person was really rude. They seemed unaware of Swiss Laws and Acts, even though I'm a foreigner with a Swiss University diploma. They told me a work permit wasn't possible, and even after I showed them legal documents to try and convince them, they stopped the recruitment after contract discussions. If you're a foreigner, think carefully before applying here.

The interview process was pretty relaxed, chatting with the HR manager and the Hiring Lead. I heard back quickly, within a day, and had a phone interview scheduled for the next day. They asked mainly behavioral questions. During the interview, they asked about my pay expectations and then said the offer was $22/hr. I asked for $1 more, and they said they'd check with the hiring manager and call me back. They also asked if I could do an in-person interview the following week. They did want to move forward with the in-person, but they dropped the pay to $20/hr, mentioning a 90-day probationary period after which pay could change. I thought this was a bit sketchy, as they could have just given me the initial offer. So, I declined the in-person interview. I don't think a company that tries to underpay a qualified candidate has the candidate's best interests at heart. The HR person mentioned they were revamping the department, so it's unclear how long that would take. I was told the benefits were good and the workload is hectic, which I actually prefer.

The interview process included an introduction to the team by five members, followed by a company overview covering current projects, infrastructure, location, and business areas. There were general questions about motivation and previous experience, as well as technical questions focusing on programming skills. A second round involved presenting a pilot project, which was a software application.

The first round was online with the team manager and HR. Then I had an in-person interview with the same people plus some future colleagues. They gave me a tour of their facility in Emmen. I withdrew after finding a different job, so I don't know what the next steps were.
