It was a really nice and open conversation! RSG has a great culture and their interview process felt fair and gave me a lot of info. It was mostly standard behavioral questions, plus a couple about projects and technical work.

I had five interviews. It started with a short 30-minute chat with HR, then I had an hour-long meeting with a director and the VP. After that, I spent two hours with two different teams. The whole process was excessively long, and they also asked me to submit code and documentation, which they didn't even seem to review.

I applied and got a phone call for an initial screening interview. It was just a casual chat about my background and interests. I was told I'd hear back by the next Friday but didn't, so I had to email them myself. Turns out I was selected for a final interview, but they were really slow with communication. A couple days before the interview, I had to fill out and send back an application form (which was just a scan, so I had to manually fill it out and rescan/fax it, which was not very tech-savvy of them). I also had a personality test right before the interview. The whole process leading up to the interview felt pretty disorganized. The actual interview was about 4 hours long at their office, which was pretty messy. Then I met with two directors to discuss my skills and the job. After that, there were case studies and interviews with people at another office via teleconference. The case studies weren't too difficult. I exchanged contact info with the directors and it seemed like things went well. I was told I'd hear back by the following Friday at the latest, but again, no response. I tried calling a couple times. A full week later, I got an email from an HR assistant. Eventually, I got an offer that was double what they originally offered, which is still way below market rate. I almost called to vent about the disorganized HR, but decided to be professional. Despite the nice people I met, the HR department was incredibly unorganized and my school's career office was baffled by them. Plus, the pay is terrible; I make more part-time doing research.

Applied online in July 2019 and got an employee referral. A week later, HR offered me a phone interview with both the recruiter and my potential senior on the mobility team. We discussed my experience and its relevance to the job, my interest in the role and company, and specifically how my upcoming move to the area might affect the interview schedule and flight booking. They said they'd get back to me in a few weeks about the flight. After waiting a month, I emailed, then called and left a message. Finally, I booked a last-minute flight at a higher price. Six weeks after the phone screening, I received a denial email.
