Sales
The interview process was quick and to the point. They took the time to get to know me and clearly knew my resume beforehand. They also shared their own experiences and what I could expect from the job.
- What do you think makes a great salesperson?
Product Manager
After getting past the initial screening, I was invited back to interview with the team, and I really thought it went incredibly well. I got in there and bonded with them! They asked me why I thought I’d be a good fit and pointed out a couple of skills from my resume, and that was about it as far as interviewing me. This lasted maybe 10 minutes. The rest of the time was spent on non-work-related things like TV shows, hobbies, and restaurant recommendations. I was super excited because I'd never had an interview like that before where it felt like I fit right in and was already part of the team. I was so sure about this job that I even started looking at apartments nearby. A couple of weeks later, I was told they went with someone else. The recruiter mentioned that the guy they selected was a better fit. I couldn't help but notice there was no diversity and only one woman on the team, so the fact that they chose another man was disappointing. I later realized that the reason they didn't really interview me and ask much about my work experience and skills was probably because they had already made up their minds about this MAN, so they just used the time with me to chat. I was crushed and am still disappointed.
- Why do you want to work for Allied?
Manager
Their hiring process is ridiculous. The first interview happened relatively quickly and it went really well. A couple weeks later I was told that I’d be invited back for a second interview with the team and the department head. The second interview was set for two weeks out. Although a lot of time was passing, this job was my main lead so I knew I was going to ride out the waiting process regardless. The second interview went phenomenally well and I was very confident about it. Weeks went by before I heard anything. Then the recruiter reached out telling me more time was needed and wanted to make sure I was still on board. They told me that if I were thinking of accepting any other roles to let them know ASAP so they can see what the manager wanted to do. The vibe was very positive and reaffirmed my confidence and let me know that all the waiting I had done for this role was about to pay off. I have friend in recruiting and told them what this recruiter said. My friend said this was a very good sign that I was probably their top candidate and that if they weren’t going to move forward with me, that would’ve been the time that they would’ve let me go, instead of making sure I’m still on board. I waited almost 3 more weeks. The recruiter calls and tells me that they went with someone else who had more experience. I’ve never been more disappointed in my life. I spent well over two months waiting on a position that seemed so promising. This seems like a cool company to work for, but the whole process was very drawn out and gave me anxiety from all the waiting as well as emails that went unanswered for days. I felt very led on but good luck to everyone else applying.
- Can you describe your experience at (insert employer) in your role as (insert job title)?
- What is your approach to managing interpersonal conflicts or dealing with challenging individuals?
- What are your reasons for seeking a position with Allied?
Applications Developer
I had a long four-hour interview with different teams, followed by a team lunch. The manager said I'd hear back soon. The interview went really well, and they seemed very interested. After 10 days of silence, I reached out and got an immediate rejection. It felt like a waste of time since I drove 30 minutes for a long process that could have been avoided earlier.
- Can you share an experience where you collaborated with clients?
- Do you have experience working with Business Analysts (BAs)?
