Administrative Assistant
I had a phone interview, and then two days later, I went to their office for an in-person interview. When I got there, I had to complete some grammar, spelling, and comprehension tests. This was after I already did a comprehension and typing test online before coming in. The tests weren't too hard, though; you should be fine if you know basic grammar. The interview itself was more about what I was interested in rather than specific questions, and I mostly just talked about my experience. I got my first temp job within a week of the interview.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
Membership Coordinator
So I had this interview with two people, which they didn't mention beforehand. The second guy, Mr. Postow, was really rude. He kept cutting me off, rushing my answers, and basically implying it made no sense for me to change careers just because my current job wants to keep me. His whole vibe was super abrasive. Plus, the job they first contacted me about and brought me in for on Monday was apparently not an option anymore by Thursday when we met. And they didn't think to tell me! I feel like they just used that job to get me to come in. When I brought it up to ask more, Mr. Postow just waved his hand and was like, 'It's a little late for that job.'
- What is your ultimate career aspiration?

After applying, I had a quick phone screen, then completed a spelling/grammar test and some online skills assessments. Next, I had an in-person interview that was pretty laid-back, mostly to get to know me and discuss my reasons for leaving my last job. Following reference checks and a job offer, the recruiter scheduled another in-person meeting. This final interview involved a quick company overview, some advice, and then a writing test before I was officially offered the temp role.
- What kind of jobs are you seeking?
- What management approach do you find most effective?
- Tell me about your reasons for leaving your previous job.
Temp
I applied by email and got contacted for an interview the next day. The recruiter was nice and communicated well. Before the interview, there were a series of online assessments and a grammar assessment when I arrived at the office. The online assessments were a bit frustrating, but simple.
- What are your future goals?
