Graduate Engineer
The process starts with submitting your CV and cover letter. This is followed by an assessment day which has three parts: 1) a group activity where you'll discuss a specific project. Make sure to look into the project details on their website, like the tools they use. 2) An individual assessment focusing on technical skills related to the organization's work. 3) A regular interview with common interview questions.
- What is your greatest strength and weakness according to your coworkers?
Graduate Engineer
The interview was pretty chill. I spoke with a senior engineer and the ops manager. Mostly, we talked about me and my background, really digging into my CV, asking about what I did in specific situations and what my responsibilities were. This was pretty key. You gotta hype yourself up 'cause they wanna know your exact roles, responsibilities, and skills. They also asked the usual HR stuff like 'What would you do with a difficult customer?' and 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?'
- Can you elaborate on what you've accomplished in specific scenarios?
- Could you detail your responsibilities in past roles?
- What were the skill sets you utilized?
Graduate Engineer
I applied online and about a month and a half later, I got contacted for an interview. Even though I applied for a graduate role, they didn't seem to know and called me for an interview about hydraulic modelling. It was in my field, but it made the interview harder than I thought it would be. They didn't ask many general entry-level questions, it was more about my CV and some technical questions about specific software I know.
- Can you describe the various phases a project undergoes from conception to the start of construction?
