Motion Graphics Designer
The interview experience was awkward. I saw negative Glassdoor reviews beforehand, hoping they weren't true, but it became clear during the phone interview and in-person meeting with the Creative Director that they were. I had a bad interview because I knew I didn't want to work there. They mentioned paying for a test, which took about an hour, but I was never paid and never heard back. I've heard from people who worked there full-time that most leave within a year. It seems like there are many fake reviews, considering it's a small company and I don't know anyone in the industry who speaks positively about them. Petty management's responses to genuine reviews, calling them fake, is a clear indicator.

Copywriter
HR called me in to interview with the Creative Director. I was told I'd have to do some headlines for which I would be compensated. I met with the CD, it went okay, I did the headlines, then I met the owner. The whole thing took about 3 hours. Everything seemed fine. Later that week, I called HR about the compensation for the headlines and when a decision would be made. I had only spoken with them over the phone until then, so I figured that was how they wanted to communicate. HR was super unprofessional and hung up right after saying hello. Never got paid for the headlines. Never heard back about the job.
- Do you have any casino experience?
Account Executive
I got a call from HR, and we chatted on the phone. Since I was clearly a good fit, they invited me in to meet with the supervisor and a VP together. It was a joint interview where they both asked me a bunch of questions. I actually knew someone who worked there, so I had a decent idea of what to anticipate. My responses seemed to hit the mark with them. I then went home and waited a few days. They called me back that same week and offered me the job.
- Can you walk me through your experience?
- What kinds of accounts have you handled before?
- Would you be okay with driving to places like Wisconsin?
Account Coordinator
First I had a phone interview, and then they asked me to come in for an in-person interview with the team. The whole thing took about 4 weeks. I didn't get any feedback after my interview, which is a bummer because I really wanted the job and I would have appreciated at least a heads-up that they decided to go with someone else.
- Why are you interested in advertising?
- What are your strengths?
- Can you describe your experience?
