First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Roy's Restaurant.
Waiter
This interview is tough bc they ask a lot of questions and you really gotta think to get the job, otherwise everyone else will get it.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
Server
The interview process was pretty easy. I was off the charts. Almost immediately after my interview, I started my training within the week. I got accustomed to the position on the Roys family Andrew to love where I worked.
- Can you tell me about your experience as a server?
Hostess
First, I talked with a manager about the job. She asked me typical interview questions like to describe a time when I overcame something, what I thought the job was about, etc. Then, her supervisor jumped in and asked me more personal questions, like what I'm studying, what my career aspirations are, etc. They mentioned they'd let me know if I got the position. It's been over a week and I haven't heard back, so I'm guessing I didn't get it. I felt like I interviewed well, but they might have been looking for someone more organized and with prior restaurant experience, which I lack.
- Tell me about a situation you experienced.
- What are your thoughts on the responsibilities of this role?
- What are you currently studying?
Marketing Manager
The interview process was very professional. The people involved were communicative and knowledgeable. I interviewed with the board of directors, who were great to talk to and made me even more eager to work there. It was clear that this is a great company with a good culture to work for.
- What would be your immediate actions upon starting in this role?
