First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rowan.
Sales Associate
Applied for the job and got a call back fast. The people interviewing me were nice and seemed interested. They made an offer, but the pay wasn't enough, so I turned it down. Seemed like a decent place to work though.
- Can you tell me about your previous job roles?
Registered Nurse
The phone interview was pretty laid back, and I felt like the conversation went well. The questions weren't too tough, especially since I've got experience in pediatrics. They were really focused on pediatric nursing. So, I was actually pretty surprised when I didn't get a job offer.
- Can you explain the ear piercing process to a 7-year-old?
Director of Ecommerce
I met with the CEO and heads of finance, brand, merchandise, marketing and an investor. The team was super friendly and asked good questions. I had a few zoom interviews and a take-home case study on reinventing their subscription business and customer journey, which I presented over zoom. Rowan paid me for the case study time, which was awesome. I got a verbal and emailed offer that matched my expectations. But then, weeks later, the CEO called to say the offer was on hold for reasons she couldn't explain. They kept pushing out calls for weeks, and I eventually stopped following up. It felt really unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend working there.
- How would you approach engaging potential customers before, during, and after a piercing service to maximize the conversion of retail customers to ecommerce customers?
Registered Nurse Piercer
I applied online through the Rowan website. I got an email with a link to schedule my interview, and there were times available that week. The first interview was on Zoom, and the second interview they offered is a phone interview.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
- How would you ensure a child, patient, or customer feels comfortable?
- What would you consider your greatest strength?
