The interview process was conducted virtually. Initially, there was a panel interview with five individuals, who would be my future colleagues and supervisors. Following this, the process involved waiting for the board of directors to give their approval for the job offer. The entire experience spanned approximately three to four weeks.

The interview process included two on-campus interviews: one with a committee from the EMSS department and another with the dean and director. The initial part felt pretty easy, but the second interview was very casual and almost intimidating. Things moved pretty quickly at first, but then there was a long wait for an offer. When an offer was finally extended, the salary was too low for the job and area. I attempted to negotiate, and the HR hiring manager acted as if no offer had been made, stating that reference checks were still pending, despite having previously called me the standout candidate. A week later, I was contacted again with an offer, but with no change in salary. The entire process spanned two full months.

An exchange about "best practices" with the assistant dean was particularly telling, signaling it wasn't a good sign.
